energy boost and promotes healthy cells.

Other Set
There are a few things others that I take, but not regularly (each has value):
- Multiple Vitamin (GNC - Solotron) - 1 at midday w/ food.
- Various nuts (raw almonds - a hand full), and seeds (sunflower - I prefer roasted/salted).
- Fresh fruit and vegetables as often as I can get them... organic when possible.
- Vinegar, Apple Cider. Two ounces a day (mix with OJ).
Sore Throats/Cough/Cold:
- Zinc Lozenges (Sundown Label) helps the immune system, and are an alternative to other medicine lozenges.
My personal avoidance(s) include:
- Coffee - limit one (1) cup a day.
- Sugar - sweets (never taken to them that much).
- Store bought red meat - (I purchase my beef and pork from a farmer friend - no hormones added to the fattening process).
- Fish - because of the amount of toxic substances that they contain (in the Great Lakes Region).
- Alcohol - not to excess - nothing beyond a daily juice intake, and not more than once a week... it's rare for
me to consume alcohol.
Notes: Some people say that mint should be avoided when
taking a natural approach to healing... I really don't have a clue as to why (???). Please let
me know facts if you know them. Thanks!
The caution for the above is to get advise from a physician, or
nutritionist before using any of the above. Always start with a small dose (I began with
one (1) pill per day, and added another pill after a week or so... it took over a month to
take all of the above... but, I do feel better). Take it slow and easy.
- Glutamic acid is an amino acid occurring in substantial amounts as a product of the
hydrolysis of proteins. Certain plant proteins (e.g., gliadin) yield as much as 45 percent
of their weight as glutamic acid; other proteins yield 10 to 20 percent. Much of this
content may result from the presence of a related substance.
- Glutamine is an amino acid, the monoamide of glutamic acid, and an abundant
constituent of proteins. First isolated from plants, e.g., beets, carrots, and radishes.
It is very important in cellular metabolism. Glutamine helps rid the body of ammonia
especially in the head (the brain), and helps purge other toxic substances (heavy metals
as they are called) from the body. Glutamine works better when taken in combination with
Vitamin E, L-Tyrosine, and CO Q-10.
- Tyrosine is an amino acid that works effectively when taken with glutamine.
