Port Huron Chapter By-Law Amendments.

• A. There will be no "smoking" before, during, or after the ALR meeting.
  Passed March 21, 2006
• B. Dues for "new" members to the Port Huron ALR Chapter will be one dollar for each remaining month. Others will be $12 per year (July 1st to June 30th)

• C. Nomination of Port Huron Chapter Officers will be at the March and April membership meeting. The nominated member must be present or submit a letter of acceptance if they are unable to attend. Election will be held in May. Installation will be concurrent with Post 8 officer installation (in June).

• D. Inclusion of "eligible" American Legion members who do not qualify for FULL MEMBERSHIP in Post #8 American Legion Riders (ALR) as a "supporter" (thereafter, know as "supporter").
  i. A "supporter" cannot vote, hold an ALR Chapter office, or recommend motions for consideration.
  ii. A "supporter" cannot wear the large ALR patch. If a small ALR patch is worn, it must include "Supporter" or "ALR Post #8 Supporter". A "supporter" is NOT permitted to wear a "Veteran" rocker above or below the patch even though the "supporter" is a veteran.
  iii. A "supporter" must remove the ALR patch if they are not a member in good standing.
  iv. A "supporter" will pay 50% of the full member or new full member dues.
  v. A "supporter" in "good standing" is a member of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion whose dues are current and who has not been expelled from an ALR Chapter.
